people with asd use obbsessions such as organising things and keeping to specific routines as a means of control over there lives. every thing in the world is so abstract that they like to know that they have things in there lives which are certian thus creating security. with obbsessional intrests in asd they derive from wanting to find out about something like trains and wanting to know specific facts like times ect. this is caused by the lack of imagination that asd causes without imagination everything has to be fact! ocd is an anxiety dissorder and again is caused by wanting control much in the same way that people self harm because they know it is something they can control the difference in ocd is it actually makes the persn feel like it is controlling them hence why it is such a difficult cycle to break!

Austistic people display lots of other symptoms, including anti-socialism and usually genius in a specific area. OCD people are usually normal other than the obession. Also, I think OCD can manifest later in life. But Autism is evident from an early age. I'm not sure, but I think it might be a phsycial thing with the brain vs a chemical thing with OCD. That's a guess though.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder where a person has recurrent and unwanted ideas or impulses (called obsessions) and an urge or compulsion to do something to relieve the discomfort caused by the obsession.
Autism is a neurological disorder (a "brain" disease) characterized by the presence of severe communication, language and social deficits in affected persons.
It is proposed that the repetitive and ritualistic behaviors, or "obsessions" and "compulsions," of individuals with autism and individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are not distinct aspects of the two syndromes, but instead are phenomenologically similar and part of an overlapping class of behaviors. Data suggests that the basal ganglia (caudate nucleus) and frontal lobe are responsible for the development of pathological repetitive behaviors in both disordered populations.

ADHD is a developmental ailment this is characterised by using a continual trend of impulsiveness and inattention with the component to hyperactivity. those indications ought to be contemporary in the previous the age of 7 as a fashion to be clinically determined with ADHD . Autism is likewise a developmental ailment yet one that is lots extra complicated in nature affecting quite a few factors of progression. as a fashion to be clinically determined with autism, a individual ought to reveal important/marked restrict interior the factors of language/communique, social interplay and habit (stereotypical and repetitive). All indications ought to be contemporary by using the age of three for this prognosis. Autism is extra stable to diagnose than ADHD by way of complexity of the ailment. it is possible for a individual with autism on the quite extreme functioning end of the spectrum to be improperly clinically determined with ADHD (that's why they frequently hit upon that danger while giving an ADHD prognosis) however the opposite could be much less probably till there became some fake effect some individual's indications. while coping with the extra "classic" presentation of autism, the two subject concerns do not seem a similar in any respect. the only similarities they share is that those with autism tend to be impulsive, inattentive at situations and a few are/might seem to be hyperactive.

my layman;s first impressions would b that

the first & most important has to be the level of integration in society OCD allows for a degree of integration & is focused on a limited number of OC actions/impulses whereas

autism is more severe, affects everything & it's more of a condition of the brain that's not governed by the same kind of impulses- gd question tho!

the causes can be different as well; autism is more likely 2b found in someone for example if the father is over 40 when they have their baby (so it's more genetic)

OCD seems to me 2b a condition that rises out of life experience/trauma...
