FM Listening Systems let teachers talk into a hand-held microphone, which transmits the sound of the teacher's voice directly to a deaf or hard of hearing child's hearing aid. This transmission happens on reserved radio spectrum 216-217 MHz. Many retailers of products for deaf and hard of hearing people carry personal FM systems.

Are you a parent, a student or a teacher? In any case, the NCLB ( no child left behind)laws may dictate that all special equipment be funded through the school district. I know in our state the laws say that a district must supply certain special technology / equipment if it's on a student's IEP. Check the IDEA laws & regulations for special ed students. Get on the website listed below . It should have the info or at least direct you elsewhere.
You should not be paying for any special equipment .

First, check with your PTO or other parent organization for help
Next, check with your grant writer in your district/ state department of education and ask them for suggestions for writing grants.
If the Fm system is written on the IEP, the school district is responsible for funding for classroom use.
Also, there are many private sources for funding. Start researching grants. Take a class if one is available , so you can get names and learn the techniques for filling out the paperwork. Check service groups such as Lions, Elks, Kiwanas etc.
If you contact the FM company directly, they may be able to offer names of grants and organizations which have helped fund these in the past.

If all else fails, set up a fund raiser of your own... bake sales, silent auctions, raffle etc.
