My English teacher hates me basically and I need a reccomendation from her by January. I don't have much time, and I am not sure what to do. It feels like in class she picks on me and seems to have a sharp eye on me specifically. I am really worried and not at all sure what to do.

Is it normal for there to be a lot of kids on IEP's in grade schools? It seems like there are an awful lot of kids with IEP's in this one school. Something seems "fishy" to me.

I do not think punishment is the answer.a lot of times when
a pupil does poorly in school you can not always say it is
all their fault.
The kid could need some tutoring or he/she may have
a learning disability. As you being a parent you need to
investigate why your kid is doing poorly. Most of the time
punishment does not work.

I'm 15 and I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was about 12 or 13. I did very bad in school when I was in sixth grade, (I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD yet) and I had to go to summer school, I finally got medicine for my ADHD in seventh grade, then in eigth grade I finally pulled everything together and started doing better because I my mom got me in special ed. finally even though I should have been in teacher consultent. I'm a freshman in High School now (9th grade) and i'm finally doing so good this year, i'm getting all A's and B's and all of my teachers like me. My question is what am I going to do later though when I go to college? What should I do since there won't be the teacher consultent there? And also, am I going to have to take this medicine for my whole life even when I have a job? because I don't want to take this medicine for my whole life.

From what I hear a lot of kids with Learning disabilities who are in special ed or in IEPs end up leaving high school
with a certificate of completion. With that they can not move
on to higher education or even get a half decent job.
Another question is What is being done to bring these LD
kids up to grade level.
In my time you were just passed on without mastering
your math and reading skills.

My son who is almost 13 was diagnosed with verbal dyspraxia at age 3 and ADHD at age 7.

He has always had verbal outburst often using inapropriate language and swearing. When i asked him if he realised what he is saying and how nasty it can be he he said that "it just comes out"

Can anyone tell me if this is a common behaviour for kids with ADHD or Could he have a form of Tourettes Syndrome?

These outbust dont happen all the time but tend to get more frequent if he is stressed/upset
