My daughter is now 3 and ready for preschool. I am on medical assistance so I was wondering if Head Start is the program for her. Iam not sure. If it is. how do I enroll her and when. THanKs!!

I have a 15 month old daughter and I live in a very small town that is about to open up a daycare in a few months. I am excited because I have been a stay at home mom with my little girl since she was born and I am wanting to start making an income again! The day care center owners said that they will have positions open and asked if I would like to work there. This seems like a great plan. I would still be with my daughter and be making a little money. I guess my questions are...do you enjoy working at a day care and how much would I make (average prices) working at the center if my child is also enrolled there. Any input would be great..thanks!

I would like to find a book for my 10 mth old that shows pictures with the name of the pictures in spanish or spanish & english. I'm trying to teach my daughter spanish while she's learning english (the rest of us speak english only). I know they have word books in english but any ideas on spanish ones??

I've been a part-time stay at home mom for the past 2 1/2 years. I have only one daughter she's of course 2 1/2 years old and I interested in starting her in preschool/daycare in the fall. Most of the preschools in our area have session about 2 or 3 days a week for 2-2 1/2 hours each day. There are also some preschool/daycares in the area that will have them for pretty much the whole day.

My question is what is the difference between preschool and a preschool/daycare?

Those ABC workbooks look so fun. But all the kids want to do is scribble on the pages. They don't even want to try to trace the letters. I have even resorted to bribing the kids with candy, and still I hardly get their cooperation.
