If you want the child to sleep there, I would not look for too many stimulating items! For a two year old, I would look for things that can be used as the child gets older -- nothing too "cute", unless it is not too expensive.

For colors, pick ones that are simple ----maybe primary colors ( red, yellow, blue)

If the child has any cartoon characters or TV shows that he or she likes, you can try to use those.

The best bet would be something that will last longer than a year.. My daycare has the walls painted as an aquarium. This works for both boys and girls and they dont grow out of too fast. Colorful fish and plants. teaches them also the differnt types of fish.

If it's a boy you could get spot things into the room to get them interested or if it's a girl you could make a zoo theme . You could get stuffed animals in the room or you could also paint or put up wall paper of animals. But it really depends on the kid you could try and ask the kid what he or she likes or you could put up wall paper of kiddy shows.

The cutest room for a two year old that i have seen is a insect room. it sounds kinda stupid, but it is the cutest thing ever! there were little bumble bees and butterflys and ladybugs and even nice looking spiders! lol but it was so cute and the kid grew up not being afraid of bugs and spiders because of it! lol Good luck!

it all depends on what they like if its a girl go with brighter colors like pink green orange blue and if its a boy with a little bit of darker colors like red purple dark blue .
now if you what to have a bed make it creative like make it out of wood or buy it at ikea that a 2 year old would like and ask your kid what sort of things that they might like to have in their room beucase the key to succes is to ask the person what they want not what you think they will like thats the best i can do bye good luck

ummm, is the two year old a boy or a girl,

some of the things that would be helpful is: knowing what the child likes, such as the colors, toys and things he/she likes to be around, what makes him/her feel like home.

good luck

Oh, don't stereotype by sex! I got my niece a mobile from Target - it had clips on it so that you could hang photographs and change them, but it could also be used for small pieces of kids' artwork and would be easy to change regularly.

Primary colors are cute and cheerful. Cars and trucks for boys are really fun. Animals are cute for boys and girls.
