My 4 year old is very interested in science topics such as the solar system and biology. I was wondering if anyone knows of any APPROPRIATE videos or TV shows for this age group.

My nephew LOVED Magic School Bus when he was 4. He is 13 now... not sure how easy the videos are to find these days. They had at least one about outer space (the solar system if I remember correctly) , maybe more, and several biology topics as well.

Bill Nye the science guy, or Beakman are very fun to watch, funny, and very informative...Do not know how much a 4 yr old will be able to comprehend, but I used to have my daughter get up on Sat and watch both of them... I think reruns are still on...anyway, she is now in her second yr of college, and feels like the shows really got her interested in science...Hope that will help, by the way, I saw an episode of Beakman just the other day, so I guess it is still going...

Bill Nye the Science Guy is neat. Even though it's aimed at kids a little older, my son learned a lot from it at this age. (Tough to track down, though.) Zula Patrol is a new show on PBS...they do the solar system in an interesting way, although they seem to play a little fast and loose with the whole fact/fantasy thing. Check your listings...he might like it.

Bill Nye, The Science Guy is always a lot of fun and very entertaining and educational. Videos available and he is still on some of the Public Broadcasting Stations.

I agree with the above, Magic School Bus would be one of the shows to at least check out.
