My son recently had surgery to place tubes in his ears, and remove the adnoids. His ear problems resulted in a speech delay. We've been to a speech therapist, and is going to start a devopmental pre-school in May. In the meanwhile however we were wondering if someone could help us form some excercises at home in order to help him learn to talk. Any help will be apprieciated.

My 3 year recently started daycare for the first time. My aunt used to keep him. I am concerned that he doesn't speak as well as the other children. I have noticed a change in his speech and vocabulary since he has been there. I am concerned that he maybe labeled if this doesn 't change before he goes to school. He will be 4 this year. He is progressing but what are somethings that I can do as a parent to help his speech and vocabulary.

The program is the Casa level (age 2.5 - 6). I need help on integrating the theme of "South America" into the Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Culture areas of my classroom. The culture and Language areas are fairly easy but I am having trouble with ideas for Practical Life and Sensorial. Can anyone offer any suggestions or a website which offers ideas for implementing themes into the Montessori classroom?

for the first time. I would like to hear from others if they had this sort of situation occur and how did the teachers handle it? My daughter is on the recieving end of the aggression by a 6 year old boy. The teacher thus far has spoken to both my daughter and the boy while I listened and am sadly not confident that the young boy understood what was being discussed. The teacher I felt was too vague and most of the dialogue was to my daughter about standing up for herself. Certainly others must have had this happen to them or someone they know or have some wisdom on how to proceed should this likely come up again.
The boys parents do not know to my knowledge that he has been in this situation and my husband and I are not confident that this is being dealt with effectively.
Thanks for your time everyone!

she is 7 now and has been in school sense she was 2 years old , shes in iep etc, but im starting to think she has learned to work the teachers into getting her way and not having to do so much unless its one on one im getting worried because this will delay her more , the teacher just seem to say this work is just to hard for her for where is at and where her class is , as i said before i think she has the teacher wrapped around her fingers , and was wondering if the is a free site on here to help me teach my daughter how to read and write senence etc because if the teacher are not going to help her get to her class room level then i will .
