have a senior citz. that falls everytime I am not looking. is the any kind of monitor or alert that he can wear at all times, and buzz me or call me: when he gets into trouble, fall, can't get out of bed, emergency in and around the home. this is getting to be a serious problem. 2-way does work in this area. baby mon. won't work outside. it needs to be attached to his person--somehow and to me

My father died & I found it in some of his things. It is a man's ring and appears brand new. It has a dark blue stone.The school is; TURNER HIGH SCHOOL. The initials, written in script inside, are; ALS. There is some type of cat one one side. It could be a wildcat, cougar, lion, etc. On the other side are the numbers 66. The inside is also engraved with the trademark, GOLD LANCE, with a lance between the words. It also has, STUCKY & SPEED engraved below the lance.

I will soon immigrate to CANADA. I'm originally from ROMANIA but right now I work in POLAND in the field of textile engineering.

Once in CANADA I want to start some studies. Civil engineering or civil engineering technologist. Am not decided yet, that's why I'm writing here now. Does anyone know which of these 2 professions is more in demand and which one pays better? What's the difference between them? What province is more advisable to study and then work in?

Ok i'll try to make this simple as possible. I live in San Antonio, TX and attended a technical school (Hallmark Institute of Technology). I wasn't really into going to school at that time and felt that by getting a quick degree in 18 mths was all I needed. After being there I realized that I very much want to continue my education since I suddenly felt motivated and still do. The thing about it is that the credits don't transfer to a community college or university ( I didn't know or really cared at the time i started). I can transfer my credits to either Devry or University of Phoenix. There are many well respected schools in this city and I guess I feel less of a person by going to either Devry or UOP =(...Should I start all over from the beginning and go to community college then transfer which will take me 4-5 yrs. or should i go to the schools i can and get my bachelors in 2 yrs. Im 26 yrs.and i would feel like i would be taking too long to do this. Please help!!!!

I go to secondary school and I'm in year 10, a vital year - Ist year for my GCSE'S, but my school is falling to pieces! We've recently got a new headteacher for the new school year and it doesn't seem like he is doing anything!
Our old head teacher was ok, and quite strict and generally used to be interested in students' achievements. He also patrolled around the school area in the morning's to deter people from vandalising/smoking, which I found was very good of him. Our new one doesn't do any of that - not only do people smoke around the school area, but also within school and one even in a classroom - but in the end she did get expelled for that!
My classes are also awful - I have no english or maths teacher because they are both ill - and it sounds fairly long term. My science teacher is jamaican and she doesn't know how to control the class. Our old headteacher needed to recruit new teachers - so he went to Jaimaica to do this - which I don't believe is right.

I want to find out more about homeschooling! I'm from Romania, and it's not yet legal this homeschooling thing, but by the next year it will surely be! So I want to know more about home schooling! I hate public school! I always did! So I need to find out about homeschooling. I have a few questions:
1. Do you get to choose the teachers that will come at your house for the lessons, or they are sent by someone else?
2. Do you have an exact schedule or you can change it the way you want? I read on a site that you can choose how long every class will be. Is that true?
3. Is it expensive? How much would I have to pay?
4. What exactly do you have to do to pass from public school to home school? What do you have to do? Can you tell me step by step? I really don't know!
And, if there is anything else you have to say about homeschooling, say it! If there is anything else I have to know, please tell me about it!
