I want to find out more about homeschooling! I'm from Romania, and it's not yet legal this homeschooling thing, but by the next year it will surely be! So I want to know more about home schooling! I hate public school! I always did! So I need to find out about homeschooling. I have a few questions:
1. Do you get to choose the teachers that will come at your house for the lessons, or they are sent by someone else?
2. Do you have an exact schedule or you can change it the way you want? I read on a site that you can choose how long every class will be. Is that true?
3. Is it expensive? How much would I have to pay?
4. What exactly do you have to do to pass from public school to home school? What do you have to do? Can you tell me step by step? I really don't know!
And, if there is anything else you have to say about homeschooling, say it! If there is anything else I have to know, please tell me about it!

hi i'm from Yucaipa California USA. There are 2 home schools in the US that I know of that Are good one of them is ABEKA the other is named A+..., ABEKA as far as I know sends you video lectures and text books with parent guides (books and videos that your parents read so that thay your parents can help you with your studys...) I don't know any thing about A+ I do know a correspondance school thats really good and accredited by the the North Central Association of Collagges and Schools. this corrrespondance schoo is Named The American School its
Address is: 2200 East 170th Street
Lansing, Illinois 60438 USA
US PHONE NUMBER 1-708-418-2800

The American School funishes you with text books and study guides the study guides have discusions self tests and exams that are based on the text books you send exams in to the school for grading and the instructors send them back to you graded and with comments. the american as does abeka (i think abeka does this) accepts your high school transcrpts and any subjects you've compled thats listed on the transcript or other document as fullfilliment of credit toward your Diploma once you sucsesfully pass an exam at that level. I hope this helps If you can email me at ravmj@verizon .net i'd like to hear from you

You should get some very good answers (and maybe already have, I haven't seen them yet though). I'm in a hurry, but...with homeschooling, you teach your children. You don't need to pay some teacher to come to your house, you teach, you set the schedule, you teach what you think they need to be taught. It's the best way to go. Like I said, I'm running out the door, but here are a couple sites that will give you many of the answers, and a lot more great information).
