This DOES NOT include preschool, kindergarden, grade school, junior high school or high school. I want to know how long in University and any other schools you have to go to after High School to become a family doctor.

We now live in a society where girls outperform boys in school. A number of causes have been put forward but I think the most intriguing is the lack of male teachers in the classrooms. I just read on cnn.com about a study that says that men learn best from men and women learn best from women. Is the imbalance really that simple? Or is there a greater problem in the lack of male leadership accross all of society?

I'm typing out a paper answering the question of what I would change about the highschool system. I am revolving my idea around having more independence. One suggestion I made was to offer classes to Jrs and Srs that teach them life skills needed to know how to live indepently. I'm trying to think of specific situations that this class could better prepare students with. Any suggestions?

Imagine a classroom environment:
Now one says,
"Stephen is standing outside the class as he didnot bring the leave letter for his yesterday's absence"

The situation is that Stephen (for example only) was absent for the class yesterday & he is standing outside the classroom because he didnot bring the leave letter.

Now is that sentence right? is the usage of the word "absence" right?

Can u reframe the same sentence without changing the meaning.

I graduate in 2009 with an Arts degree in English Honours and Classics Honours (Classics being the study of Ancient Greek and Latin). This is all wonderful, but it's starting to hit on me that I have chosen the wrong path. Now I love English and Classics. But, in truth, these majors are not versatile for the real world. Unless I want to work at a bookstore or be a secretary, and I don't want to do those things.

I have been wondering if I should just change faculties and do a degree in science because I will be guaranteed a job that pays well (according to my father). But the thing is that when I graduate, I'll be up to my ears in loans. And if I switch faculties, I'll accrue even more debt. I could always go to graduate school, but what would an MA really do for me?

So you see my quandary.
