Taj means Crown, Mahal means Palace. It is a Crown Palace. It is a huge monument one of the kings of India built for his queen. It is built using white marble.

its a tomb...built by the mughal emperor Shah jahan for his wife Mumtaz
and besides being one of the most beautiful building in the world..they both lie buried in there...just like the pyramids.
