My son failed reading with a 69, math 69 and science 69. He did however pass the Schools Assessment test called the Daks testing for second graders with a 90 in Reading and 78 in Math. Although he has some progress to make, he has made tremendous progress this year. The work he has not completed is in THE CLASSROOM-NOT AT HOME. The answer from the principle is that he is immature and they cant make him be motivated or do the work. Excuse me---but isnt it their job to make him?? He is only 8yrs.old afterall. He is also nearsighted and has astigmatism in one eye and has to wear glasses. Also, it has been a tough, emotional year because his dad and I are going through a divorce. I see him really trying and I KNOW this is going to completely crush the progress he is making. I asked the principle about summer school and she said it is not an option. Can anyone tell me the texas law on retaining a 2nd grader and what I can do??

I have no money for things like life coaches and such. I've found that the personality tests you take to find out what job you should do aren't the most accurate. My problem is that I have TOO MANY interestes and passions. Is there some deeper more extensive test? Anything online? I'm 26 and want to do so many things, but I can't afford to go "find myself" or to go from job to job, major to major. Any advise?

Where can I find the most common English grammer mistakes and corrections? Things like semicolons and commas with the word "however" for example.... also commonly misspelled words.....
I'm left handed and it's been show that lefties have a harder time remembering the spelling of words with more than 1 double letter, the whole "I" before "E" thing, whether to use an "S" or a "C" or both.... etc.......
Any tips to remembering these things? What has worked for you? Please share. I am intelligent, but my memory fails me often. Please help.

I want to go into the nursing field and I heard that there are CNA classes that I can take. If anyone here is a CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant) how much did you start out at and what type of things do you do on the job? My email is babikates11@yahoo.com if anyone has any problems with putting their starting income online.
