Ok Im in college and we have a 5 page research paper due, which isn't bad. Its the topic choice, I've started global warming but with such a broad topic I wanted to write something I knew I could narrow into 5 pages max. So doing some research I planned to write about Amelia Earhart.

my friends teacher assigned her to read a book and she only has one month to do it. so far about 2 weeks have past and she hasnt even got the book yet. she cant find it at the library or bookstores? what should she do? if you know any place that has many copies of one book that are cheap, please let me know.

These are on literal equations.

1. P=2L+2W, for W
Meaning isolate W.

2. Q=(C+D)/2, for D
Meaning isolate D.
By (C+D)/2, I mean (C+D) divided by 2

3. V=3k/T, for T
Meaning isolate T
By 3K/T, I mean 3K divided by T

4. Q=3A+5AC, for A
Meaning isolate A

5. Solve A=(1/2)AH-(1/2)BH, for H
Meaning isolate H
By (1/2), I mean one half.As in half of one, 0.5, etc.

I have to find five errors and make revisions to those sentences but I can't find any.

"Poetry is very diverse. Different poets speak to different people. Different poets strike different chords. We all belong to a great endeavor, and the more good poets there are, the more people will read poetry." Marge Piercy


I feel like this quote expresses what poetry is the best. Not everyone will understand a certain poem. Poetry is a very personal thing since it is raw emotion. I agree with the part about “the more good poets there are, the more people will read poetry.” I think that the reason some don’t like poetry is because they have not found the right poet. People think that if they don’t like one poem then they won‘t like any, but they just haven’t found a poet that tickles their fancy.

I should know this by now, but can someone help me with commas, so I don’t keep making the same mistakes? Biggest problems:

Commas separating and, but, so, ect, when do you need them and when don’t you (not referring to a series here).

For instance: I went to the store today AND I studied my chemistry homework.
I have been told it is when both sides of the And are different sentences, but I have seen sentences with complete sentences on either side and no comma? Help.
Or: I went to the store BUT I didn’t buy macaroni. Same thing with so.. how do you know when there is a comma and when there isn’t. Can you give me some examples of when you do and don't or Web sites with resources?

Or is another problem! Is it the same rule with the sentence on either side?
