Can you answer this please?

Harry makes two investments. He invests $6000 more at 8.5% than he invests at 7.5%. If the total yearly interest from both investments is $1,022, how much is invested at each rate?

x = am't @ 7.5%, and 6000+x @8.5%. So 1022 = .075x + .085(6000 + x). Combine x terms and solve for x.

Assume he invests $x in 7.5% interest and $(6000+x) in 8.5% interest. Then his interest would be
x*.075+(6000+x)*.085=1022. Solving this equation yields
