To expand you simple do the multiplication the problem calls for:
(x+4) * (x+1)

x+4
* x+1

1x+4
x^2+4x
________
x^2+5x+4

x^2+5x+4

(x+4)(x+1)
= x^2+5x+4
from there if u want the inverse do anything u want......
but always the answer must be x=-4 x=-1

5x + 1
