hi i need some help. i have to do a project on democracy, but i am not sure where to start. what points should i cover? i have to do it on a slide show presentation. our teacher didn't tell us much, just to do a project on democracy in a slide show. just need a bit of help please! i'm really stuck!

Think of today's issues on democracy like what Americans or the west world would like Iran/Iraq to adopt. Will American type of democracy work in the middle east? How will middle eastern countries be able to sustain our type of democracy or would it be a democracy designed by its own people(Iraqis/Iranians)?

Pick something regarding democracy that you are interested in.
Find out how people get laws made or rejected.
Find out if 1 vote truly does make a difference or if it is an exercise in futility.
Find out if democracies have more freedoms than other government setups.
I think you teacher deliberately left it broad for you to be creative.

Look into the effect of participation in local politics by individuals as compared to national politics. Think about challenging a new road, building a park, or issues you hear your local news station discuss in your city. Then compare it to influencing the Congress to vote for a bill on health care, the death penalty, or an issue you care about.
