Hi i am studying the Nullification Crisis in my History class. Here is my question: (and all help is very much welcome and appreciated, but please dont leave rude or mean comments or answers here, please!! thanks everyone very much!!)

Why did S. Carolina (and all the southern states, actually) oppose high tariffs so much? What states actually supported the high tariffs? (i think the answers the northern/new england states b/c they protected trading, but i could be wrong..)? What did the Nullification Crisis indicate about the relationship between the North and South in the late 1820s and into the 1830s? What was the significance of the Nullification Crisis (i know it drove a wedge between jackson and calhoun, as well as the north and south, but what else?)?

thanks!!

Our teacher asked us to find a good topic for a research paper that wouldn't be boring or the usual topic. It has to be a topic where there are 2 sides to it, like abortion, you could be for it, or against it.
I don't want to use abortion though...It's quite ordinary. I wanted something unique.

The Prince of Cumberland! that is a step
On which I must fall down, or else o'erleap,
For in my way it lies. Stars, hide your fires;
Let not light see my black and deep desires:
The eye wink at the hand; yet let that be,
Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see.

Well, my teacher assigned my entire class to do this year's Daughters of the American Revolution essay entitled "Jamestown Colony is Settled." I have finished, but I need my bibliography correct, because I don't remember a thing! My sources: Wikipidia, the Free Encyclopedia, Jamestown Colony (web page), Virtual Jamestown List of Colonists (web page), and The American Republic for Christian Schools (textbook). All books have many unknown authors. I thank you in advance. May the Lord bless you.
