Give the dimensions of a rectangular prism if Surface Area= 24cm2. Show your work.

Don't know what to do.

A rectangular prism is a box.

SA (surface area) = 2 * l * w + 2 * h * w + 2 * l * h
24 cm^2 = = 2 * l * w + 2 * h * w + 2 * l * h
12 cm^2 = lw + hw + lh

The simplest prism that fits this would be a cube of 2 cm on a side:
12 cm^2 = 2 * 2 + 2 * 2 + 2 * 2
12 cm^2 = 4 + 4 + 4
12 = 12
