Bent my head and smiled secretly.
Thought of you and got lost in my feelings blissfully,
Heard your voice and fell into a magical void,
Where it was just you and I, our love fragile yet undestroyed.

Bend my head and sigh dejectedly,
Think of you and feel my heart constrict painfully,
Hear your voice and feel something hide away,
The void is empty now- the magic has faded away.

Looked at everything as though through a happy haze,
Life threw its lemons in my face; I threw them back in a daze.
Everything seemed colorful-I savored each color,
The place for you in my heart kept getting bigger and bigger.

Look at everything through a clear insight,
Life throws the same lemons in my face-I don’t turn away without a fight.
Everything is still colorful- but the brighter colors are fading,
The place for you in my heart is deteriorating.
