Higher Education (University +) - October 2006

I really want to attend a university in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina, since the universities there are known for being good universities. In general which one is the better of the three (not taking into consideration, the areas of study that each university offers)

I am dealing with geomagnetic data and want to plot the wavelet power spectrum. I have calculated the coefficients using 'cwt' in Matlab. How to get the power spectra from this, I don't understand?

Ive finally decided upon my major and Ive decided Pharmacy, After taking the pre-pharmacy prerequisites, how is university life? Is it alot harder? I wasnt the best student in chem. and bio in highschool but I really want to do this even if it takes studying all day and going to tutoring if I have to. Any tips and that would help.. Thanks.

Ok so I have a professor who is a crazy smoker. She gives us a 5-10 minute break every 25 minutes (im not kidding) cause she needs to go outside for a smoke. The class is 3 hours long, but I’d rather get out of there a 1/2 hour earlier OR just take one 10-15 minute break half way through like in most other classes. It’s really annoying when you have to stop the lecture every 20 minutes or so. You don’t end up learning as much, and especially when you’re paying for your education, you realize what a waste that is. We did address her about this several of times during class, and all she kept saying was, “don’t complain, some teachers don’t give a break at all”. She has a point, but still. What do u all think?
Oh and also, this class has the most anti-social group of people I’ve ever met, so it’s really boring and awkward having to wait for the Smokers Club to return!

i'm in the last year of my bachelor degree , and i expect that i'll get the finance Credence From the Saudi Arabian Government .

So, this is real chance to inrole in GRAET buisness school , I want the most value Master certificate in Marketing . (what school offer it) . I dont want something like cambrige coz thay will kick my *** at the first day . ;)

im in highschool and i have absolutley no idea what i want to do for a living, i want to go to college but i dont think i should be thinking abou that until i know what i want to do. i want to make money but i want to enjoy what i do, but i really cant even think of anything i would like to study. i reallly just like sitting around and watching seinfeld, is therea career in that?

I'm considering going back to college. It was hard enough when I was 18 and worked a few hours a week. Not sure if I could pull it off now and hold down a full time job. Also, not sure if I could deal with teenagers in class. Any other adult students out there with advice?

Im a freshmen in college and from what everyones told me, my chances of graduating on time all depend on my major. But i cant decide! My entire life its been: Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher. I thought i i wanted to be a laywer but now im not so sure, I want to open my eyes to different careers, and i deff dont want to regret it later! :((

Hi I'm a freshman in highschool and I have kind of a general question. I am really good at languages and I am alreayd taking Spanish 3 this first half of the year (I am the only freshman who is taking spanish 3) and I also know how to fluently speak Italian,Albania and English. After finishing with Spanish, I plan to start doing some French, and I am also learning Greek. Will me knowing and learning these languages help me get in a very good college, I am aiming to get into the really good ones, the "Harvard Type of college" ?Thanks. : ]
