I am seriously considering going to nursing school for a career change but because of money and time issues, I am thinking about doing my associates first and then sit for the exam to become an RN. I know nursing school is very demanding and a BSN would require more time so an associates might be the best route for me right now, and then I can later enroll in a RN to BSN program. Is it difficult (especially in NYC) to get a job as a nurse with just an associates and not a BSN? I know most hospitals would probably prefer a BSN but wanted to know if it was possible with just an associates.

I'm a freshman in college and I've been here for about a month. I've talked to my family and friends about this and they all support me in whatever I choose....I'm wondering if I should drop out for right now, at least. Take a year or two off, get a job, go to a community college and take a course or two...I'm just feeling like college isn't for me. I've always had a hard time focusing in school and it takes me a long time to absorb information in class. Then, when I go to do my homework, I feel like I wasn't even in class...I usually need to hear things 2 or 3 times to get it (learning new names). I struggled through so much in high school (had a 3.3 GPA), but I don't know if I want to do it for another 4 years....thoughts? Anyone feel/ever felt the same way?

I just turned 32 last week. :(

This week was my first week back at college. In just over 2 years I should have a B.S. degree in Business Management. I'm not sure exactly what I will do when I am done. I am hoping to obtain a position in a larger business that has some room from growth.

I was the oldest one in my class. Am I too old for all of this? At 34 will I be too old to be considered for a new position? I'm wondering if I shouldn't just be satisfied in my current (boring) humdrum job. Any opinions?
