Good subject lines are always important. Readers depend a lot on subject lines to determine if the topic 1. applies to them 2. is interesting enough to read 3. is important enough to read. And I'm sure, there are many other things people use subject lines for. You always want to include enough information in your subject line for people to be able to easily determine if the content following it is what they are looking for.
