I am a sophomore, and I filled out the fafsa. However, my award letter this year was really poor, so I am looking for a cheaper college to go to, one that I can afford to pay out of pocket (I already have a insane amount of private loans).

In my fafsa I only chose to send the results to my current college; can I submit those results to another college now?

Please do not advise me on how to find scholarships, or tell me to work full time -- I already do, but it's still not enough.

Thank you for any information you may have,

~ Yumi

My mom and I are not on talking terms and I had all of the rest of the paper work done before this happened except the 2006-2007 Verification Worksheet OMB NO. 1845-0041. However my sister has hers and my mom signed it. It would have the same exact infomation on it as mine, yet my advisor says we can't make a copy of hers and attache it to mine. I have to actually have her signiture on mine. I can't get aid untill this occurs. But what I don't understsand is why they need it. It is the same as last years and my sister is recieving her financial aid. I can't do mine as though I were independent, even though I am and have been for four months now, because I would have to prove that I have been for the past four years. Can anyone help me?

I have a bachelor's degree and want to get a Master's degree. Last year, my tax returns were about $70k. But I'll be quitting my job to go back to school full time, so my income will be $0. Does anyone know how much aid I will qualify for from Stanford Student Loans. I'm curious about subsidized and unsubsidized.

I know one can get up to $10,000 in unsubsidized an $8500 in subsidized. But I don't know how much I can get given last year's income.

The school I'm going to as a total cost of attendance of $17000.

Im looking for a student loan. My parents cant help me and I cant get one by myself. I asked our family friend if she would cosign a loan with me. She was divorces last year in July and had no credit at that point because of being married. Since then she owns a house, pays all of her bills on time, and seems like a pretty credit worthy person.

My question is do you think over this past year she has gain enough credit to be a cosigner with me and help me get a loan?

If not do you guys have any other suggestions. I really need this loan.

My son will be a senior this fall (in high school) and I would like to start applying for financial aid for college.

He is a talented basketball player and artist so he is also interested in financial aid as well as scholarships for Art schools as well.

Whatever detailed information you can provide me with, I'd very much appreciate it.

I just want to get a jump start on things if possible.

Thank you all.

I just registered for school however I didn't get enough financial aid to help me with all my expenses including living expenses. Would it be a good idea to apply for private school loans?

If so, what are the best private loans out there and what are there eligibility requirements?
