I'm going to college for my bachelor's in criminal justice because I love psychology, sociology, criminology, and I love to write, so that basically fills that need. I'm wanting to become a paralegal or lawyer eventually. However I also have another "nagging" thing I like, medical science. I have always liked helping people and have really strong hands(even though I'm little), and have been told for years that I should become a massage therapist. Well, I'm going to a chiropractor for relieving pressure in my lower back and also my neck(focusing on my sinus cavity). Anyways, he mentoned to me about massage therapists after I feigned an interest and he was saying that they're very marketable around chiropractors. I'm still wanting to get my bachelors, but there is some schools near me that offers massage therapy certificate. I'm kind of confused, I am a waitress right now and love working with the public. Any advice?

I go to a private school thats pretty prestigious. I have a low GPA beacuse I really messed up bad freshman Year. I hated being seperated from my friends in public school and let things slip away. I have a 2.5 gpa thats rising to hopefully a 2.6 or 2.7 and 1600 Sat. I have several sports under my belt and Im curious if I can get into a decent college like Roger Williams University or Scranton Univercity. I really dont want to do the community college for 2 years route but If anyone would have any words of wisdom or colleges that you think would be smart to look at. thanks.

I need to write a curriculum vitae (or c.v. for short) for a professor's recommendation for graduate school. It's for a library science program that I particularly like.

Here's the scoop: I haven't written any papers or books or whatever that would look good on a c.v. However, I work for a law library, which should help.

Are there any standard models for a c.v. for someone with no or little experience? This is my first time writing an academic resume.

Thanks for your help!

Does anyone know where I can find an online list of the top hospitality schools in the United States? Private or Public... I'm looking at Penn State U-Park, Mercyhurst College, and Robert Morris University. I know they all have good programs... I am shooting for Penn State but until I know if I am in or not I wanna compare my back-up schools that I'm already accepted to. Also I know that Robert Morris has lower standards as far as grades when it comes to acceptance than Mercyhurst, but I really would like to know (if I don't get in to PSU) where it would look better to be coming from once I graduate?
So list anyone? Please? Esp private cuz I can't find an inkling of Mercyhurst or RMU anywhere but their own sites....

In the UK children start preschool and nursery at 3 and four years respectively. And then they progress to Year one by the time they are 5 or 6. All though I have nothing against the way children are learning I feel we are starting them far too young and overloading their poor craniums. No wonder by the time they finish primary school they become dilinquint and tired of the school system. Should we not rather encourage positive learning through play and less emphasis on performance and league tables? Suggest to parents who care for preschoolers and teach them from home, until they are at least 5 years of age?

And reintroduce subjects like cooking into the National Curicullum? This is likely to have a positive outcome in the fight against childhood obesity.
