I am applying to colleges in the US right now and I have heard mixed answers so I was hoping you could clear this up!

I am a dual citizen (US and UK) applying from a boarding school in England. I have not been to school in the US since 5th grade. I have houses in both countries, so can put any of them as my permanent address.

So my question is am I an international student and do I want to apply as one if I am?

Do recommendations really matter for business school admission? Does a recommendation from a board of trustee member or someone who donates a great deal of money go a long way?

I'm curious.. Hoping some of you may have worked in admissions.

"Evolutionary common sense would suggest that this leopard — an island inhabitant, after all — might well be a species all its own, distinct from its mainland relatives."

In the above sentence. what does "after all" mean? The meaning of "after all" is frequently used, but in this case, it seems the conventional definition doesn't work well. In other words, what's the function of this phrase to connect the rest of the sentence? Many thanks.

Two days ago, I bought new shoe laces, as the old ones were about to break. Today's goal is to improve my hygeine, coz I just found out that it is ME, and not my friend who has body odor!

I sat in his car and about fainted! Didn't dare mention it to him...but then this morning, I smelled the same awful stench, and learned that I need to get cleaner!

Is setting this "one small improvement per day" a good way to make life wonderful...or is there a better way?

What have you found as a way to live well?

I will not be able to come to DC with you all ladies. It didn’t work out for me. I am sorry. However, thank you so much for your kind offering me $25 discount. Hope, I will be able to come other time.
Thank you again for yesterday. I can’t wait to see the pictures.
