Try it out. Pick something to look at and think about what you are observing. When you do this, you are then connected to the object of your perception.

The only way you can have empathy with the author is if you understand what is happening and can relate to it.

If you imagine a scene where you are sitting in a field of green moist grass watching a blackbird feeding on worms around you...

From your perspective you are doing nothing but observing, however from the birds view you are interferring by being in the place where the best worms are.

And from the worms perspective (at least where you are sitting) you are his saviour although he wont neccessarily know it....

Watching an event of any magnitude changes the event and to some degree the watcher also.

I can kind of understand but lets see if I can explain it the way I understand it:
I think he is saying that in the moment that you see or notice something or someone that in that moment you are interconnected or have some sort of relationship with the object of your attention. Like there is an invisible 'field' or tie to this object.

He did not continuously quote Scripture. He did quote it (from the Septuagint - the Greek version of the Hebrew Scriptures), yet from time to time he made easy statements, or posed questions, or in spite of the actuality that. Paul did state in a number of his letters that what he changed into writing changed into his opinion, as in certain issues, he had no education from Jesus. in spite of the indisputable fact that, that's presumptuous for any persons to communicate for God immediately. all of us interpret Scripture slightly otherwise. So, we've critiques - commonly really good ones, and merely as commonly really crappy ones (you'll come across a lot of them in R&S!). If I say something is actuality, and others disagree, that motives difficulty. If I say, it is what i have self assurance, and the following is why, then you actually have something well worth questioning about.

Providing our attention to something emits an aura of engagement and interest, thus like an electronic field draws others in and connects us to them as them to us.
