I really want to get into San Jose State University or San Francisco State University, but I never really was a focused student until now (it's my senior year)

My average GPA is 2.8
and here are my SAT scores:
Critical Reading: 540
Math: 410 (really bad, i know)
Writing: 520

Do you think I'll be able to get into San Jose State or Sf State?

Thanks in advance!

So I'm a student at UCLA, junior, and I have a 4.00 gpa thus far. I am wondering what the breakdown is between the GRE score and the GPA when it comes to admissions decision. Which one do graduate school look at more? Does going to UCLA help me at all?

How long would it take me to get the Ph.D, assuming that I would be doing it PART TIME.

I am a senior in a public high school with a SAT score of 1690. Math-610, Reading- 510, Writing-570.

I took it again and focused mainly on the reading (stupid) and got a 1700. Math-600, Critical Reading-570, Writing-530.

My subject tests are: Biology-680, US History-690, Math II- 650

I have taken most of the AP classes offered at my school (I will graduate with 10) and out of the 6 AP tests I've taken, I have an average score of 4.

I have a decent amount of extracurriculars: GEAR UP mentoring (1yr), Marching/Pep/Concert Band (4yrs), Key Club (2yrs), CSF (2 yrs), Jazz Band (1yr), Private lessons bc scholarship (2yrs). I have a 4.3 GPA, and am #1 of 500. If it matters, I am first generation and Chinese.

Choice colleges: UC Berkely, UCLA, UCSD, USC, Stanford, Pomona, CMC, Amherst, UPenn, Brown, Cornell, Darthmouth, Williams

I am worried that with my low SAT I scores I won't be able to get into any of them. I am planning on taking the ACT because I hear it's easier.

I am tutoring small groups of reading delayed children. One boy breaks my heart. He's been bumped around foster care, has facial scars and "flinches" when I move too quickly around him. I suspect he was a "crack baby."

I want desperately to keep him in my reading group but he is in contant movement. He's fine one-on-one, but even in groups of 4 or 5, things start to come apart. Lack of focus, need to move, etc. I've tried sitting him right next to me, giving him reassuring touch on the shoulder, lots of eye contact. This doesn't help much. He wants to be good but he just can't help himself. If he's bumped out of my group, he gets no help at all. They stick him in front of a computer where he doesn't learn.

I love this little guy! He's connected with me as well, and when they have tried him in other groups, he sneaks back into mine anyway. If you have any tips at all for how I can help him rein in, I would so appreciate it!

Allow ALL students (K-12) to advance at their own rate.
This system has shown to be 100% effective! Smart and bright students are abled to remained challenged in any or all of their studies while those that need remedial aid are offered more attention that they need and deserve. This truely keeps all children in the game at their proper level.
Following the Bell Curve, there will be as many underachievers as over achievers, with the bulk advancing at the same relative rate.
This keeps all students challenged, without the feeling of boredom or despair.
It IS true that the high and low ends of the spectrum realize that they are special (either in needs or abilities), but they will know this anyway, as life sorts these things out in the long run.
One thing for sure, underachievers will become motivated to perform better to avoid the social stigma that is associated with low intelligence.
All people are not equal in abilities, to treat them as equal harms everyone.
Your thoughts?

this expression simplifies to 5/2(something), see if you jump in too early and end up with 1/2(something) as I did. Good practice..
(8a^3b^6)^(1/3)/(1/25a^4b^7)^(1/2)(16(a^4b^6)^(1/2)^-(3/2)
(We have no bears in Australia, by the way so the metaphor may have been inappropriate....koalas are some sort of mammal..)

IM WRITTING A SONNENT AND THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BUT IT JUST DOSNT FEEL OR SOUND RITE COULD SOMEONE MAKE SOME HELPFUL CRTIIZIM I knew I was in love with him the first time I saw
I knew that he was the only one for me
I would break any rule or law
provided, i was the one, he would see
I tried so hard to get his attention
laughing, giggling, smiling
so much that I landed in detention

“he must hate me now“, I thought
then just yesterday I dropped my books there
and that is where I saw him, sitting nearby
he picked them up and winked!
“its only fair I love you “
he said and that made want to me cry

He’s angelic face looking in to mine
I took a deep breath and knew everything was fine
