I really want to get into San Jose State University or San Francisco State University, but I never really was a focused student until now (it's my senior year)

My average GPA is 2.8
and here are my SAT scores:
Critical Reading: 540
Math: 410 (really bad, i know)
Writing: 520

Do you think I'll be able to get into San Jose State or Sf State?

Thanks in advance!

State schools can either be tougher or easier depending on the state, CA pays for school for residents so I would imagine that they have a more rigorous screening so maybe you should take the test again. But I don't think that was too bad.

UC schools are out of the question for you -- but the CSU schools are less selective.

These are realistic schools for you. Your math score is a little below average for these schools and your verbal score is a little above average.

Good luck.
