So far this is my intro paragraph, but my teacher said it wall kind of buring. How could I make it more interesting?

A few days ago, I was reading through your daily newp[aper when I came upon an article about high-school atletes. I being a soccer player for my school's varsity team was instently interested to see what your article was about. When I was done, I was shocked at what you had considered. You had considered paying high-school athles an income for playing sports. I being in the soccer team since freshman year was offened at your considerment and please allow me to explain why.

Yup, my intro sucks. How could I improve it? My teacher it needs imporovemt to grab her attention.

As we know, to be an educator, one should be professional, patient, and a sense of humor. How about in the teaching environment? From my point of view, to be a teacher, one should prepare before the class, know how to control classroom atmosphere, keep asking questions, and absorb others teaching experiences.
First, preparing before the class is an important element that all the teachers need to do. We need to realize that students have different learning styles. Some can absorb knowledge quickly through visual aids, others, on the other hand, may prefer exaggerate body language. Second, as a teacher, one should know how to control atmosphere of the classroom. An interesting classroom is made by the teacher. If one knows how to create an interesting class and provide effective learning environment for the students, it can help them acquire knowledge quickly and motivate them to learn.

This question has been haunting me for the past 2 years and I really need to get it together and figure out what I want to do. Ive looked into everything I can think of but no interest! I like sportbikes..I own one, giving massages (but that would be tiring on the hands), I have a one year old and married into the military, what are some of your ideas? I dont care how random they are..I just want to hear some ideas from u that I probably havent thought of.

Im writing a paper and my teacher is CRAZY about grammar so I wanted to have some second opinions on something.

How do you include a date in a sentence.

Ex 1

He was born on January 1, 1989 in Florida.

He was born on January 1, 1989, in Florida.

Ex 2

He arrived home on January 1, 1989 and began working.

He arrived home on January 1, 1989, and began working.

The only difference is a comma after the year but Im not sure which is right.

Thanks for your help!!

I just don't get WHY I have to do algebra!!! I don't understand half the stuff I'm doing in my book and it doesn't help that I have no clue as to why exactly I have to learn it. My dad (who is also my teacher...yes, I am homeschooled!) says I'm better at it than I think and I can't understand that either. WHY am I so good at it and WHY CAN'T I UNDERSTAND THE BLOODY SUBJECT?! It's driving me insane! Why can't I just go write a nice looooooong story in my notebook instead? Words like me more than numbers....

Ayup everybody!

I often came across words such as "a-going" instead of "going" and I was wondering whether the "a-" has a particular meaning, if it's typical of informal language and simply, why.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers.

PS: English is not my 1st language...
