I'm leaving the school that I'm assistant director at next month to be the director at another school within our company. I'd like to give each of the teachers that works for me (about 18 of them) a small gift and a thank you card when I leave. Does anyone have any creative ideas?

I've had a lot of corporate office experience, but only part-time. I'm not sure what to put on my resume/cover letter when employers request this information for an application!

We moved to FL 3 years ago from VA. Schools in VA were great. Schools in FL are a disgrace! I have decided no more of this for her. I will home school instead. I am new at this, so even after checking into it, I am still not sure about the best methods or best programs. I know I do not want a religious or Christian-based program. Not because we don't feel those things don't have a place in our lives, but I do not want her education to be based on slanted views. I want it to be based on historical and scientific facts, with openess to variying opinions and theories. (Sorry, not trying to offend anyone here). We plan to move back to VA at some point. Until then, how do I make sure she is getting the education she needs to be able to at least re-enter the public school at her correct grade level for when we get back to VA? My desire and goal for homeschooling is to improve her education, not make is suffer any more than what the FL system has already done to her.

My aunt said my cousin's down syndrome daughter was a form of "punishment" for her doing something wrong. Is this true? I mean I don't really believe it, but still what if there is some truth to it? You what they say where there's smoke there's fire....

I'm studying chemical engineering and I'm about to start my third year. I know this isn't what I really want, I don't like the curriculum and I know it doesn't satisfy me. I've been to my counselor a million times, and the only thing she says is: "You should wait until you take courses that are really chemical engineering courses". The problem is that I can't waste more time and money until I take those classes because I need to make a decision now, I can't wait any longer.

I know I'm a little late for this, but I'm thinking in switching majors. I thought about switching to a bachelor's degree in chemistry, but I don't know if it's the right thing. I don't really know what to study, I'm really confused and worried because I'm supposed to have pretty clear what I want to do instead of having all these doubts in my mind.

Can someone help me please?
