Also focused when it became the "in" word when talking about sport.I remember a few years back during the Olympics during a studio spell between races Sally Gunnell was commenting and she must have used it tewnty times in as many minutes !

When it's overused, yes. If you're going to describe someone/something as having the "wow factor", you really ought to think long and hard if it's truly worth the title.

I hated it when they changed the fish quay festival to the wow festival (short for window on the world)
