My friend, who is 20 years old right now, didn't go to college. When she was in the 9th grade, she started independent study, with out acctually studying; she failed high school. Now she is learning english and hopes that she can get a high school diploma after she learns how to speak english well. So, my question is: even though she failed high school and probably knows as much as an 8th grader, can she still study and get a diploma? If so, where? She currently lives in San Diego.
Thanks in advance.

I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction/ Education with a 4.0 GPA from an accredited university. I also have a bachelors in Education and experience as a teacher and teacher trainer in public schools. I am looking to for other career opportunities outside of the public schools. I could get my educational leadership degree and go into administration, however, I'm not really interested in this avenue. I could also work on my PhD in education and become a professor or work in developing standardized tets or measuring devices for such tests. What could I do in the business field? What else could I do? What should I do? How much time, effort, and money will this take? Any ideas? Details: I currently have two young children. I'm in my late twenties. I live in Flordia. I am married and it would be difficult to move somewhere in another state due to his job, but not impossible

I dropped out of my high school last year and started goin' to a place called the Community Learning Center where drop outs go to get education. The teachers say I get a regular high school diploma but I graduate a year early.... Is that a negative to gettin' the CLC diploma and will I be considered a drop out to job managers? Also what's the real difference between diplomas?

I just started going to college this semester and right now I am taking developmental classes that I need. I am unsure about my major I was thinking probably biology or chemistry. The school I attend has a nursering program where you can get an associate's in nursing or a bacchuarale in nursing. Would that count as a degree to get into med school or not? I want to know because that way if the doctor thing doesnt work out I can always fall back on being a head nurse.

I am currently a undergraduate who can attain my bachelors degree in 2 more years at my local college. However I was transfering. I feel that even though I excel academically at this college, I am not enjoying it. Its hard for me to relate to most of the male students here because everyone seems to not do school work and they like to act bad. I want to go to a school where I can compete against top notch students and have intelligent conversations with people who will be successful. I dont like the college atmosphere here the only thing people do for fun is dance and I want to be able to attend a big university so I can watch football and go to more functions. Secondly, I feel that its hard for me to get girls here because when I first came some of them thought I was a nerd and dont think I can change to give them a good time. Do you think these reasons are worth transfering?
