for my science project, i made a drum out of that powdered milk cans that are quite large, and so i need to explain this thing to my teacher, can you tell me why this is so??

When I keep the drum in my hand, it has more vibration and it creates more sound. Whereas when I keep the drum on the ground, it doesn’t make much sound because it doesn’t vibrate

I am graduating in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems. I have always had an interest in teaching, and I would like to work in a school. Right now, I do not want to become a full teacher.

I am wondering if being a substitute could be a full time job? What sort of pay could I expect (and benefits)?

I was also wondering about being an aide, what sort of duties that entails (not special ed), and what sort of pay/benefits are available? Could it be a full time job?

As I will have the summer before the fall semester, I was wondering are their jobs in a school, or should I find some sort of seasonal employment?

What would a "day in the life" entail for a substitute and an aide? What sorts of hours could I expect?

When is the best time to apply for Fall/Winter start?

I am looking at all grade levels. I do know the experience differs at each school and grade level and town. I am just looking for general/average information

The letter said I was one of a small group of students notified that they were likely to be accepted. Is this likely a 60% or a 98%? Also, the dean signed it and wrote a note at the end. I'm not due to get my formal acceptance (or unacceptance) letter for a few weeks.

I have a federal student loan that is in default because I was unemplyed for along time after I gor out of college plus with credit card debt. I have a wage garnishment and I want to get undefaulted. I pay $300 a month in wage garnishment and they want another $170 per month as a regular payment for nine months and I can't afford it. I worked with Sallie Mae and they can get me a monthly payment of $183 per month and not $500. But they want three consecutive payments before they will accept it and I can't afford the payments with the wage garnishment. Illinois Student Assistance Commission won't help me out at all about getting rid of the garnishment so I can pay the monthly fee and garnishments don't count. Is there any way I can do something so that the feds aren't screwing me over.

Barbara is very imaginative and is known to "spice" up stories a bit, making some parts untrue.

After her trip to Hawaii, she was going to tell her mom what happened, but she really didn't do many exciting things. Barbara, being the imaginative thinker she is, came up with a scenario.

"Mom, it was so exciting! I got to see one of the volcanoes erupt, it was amazing! The lava shot a few stories into the air, I've never seen anything like it! Oh, and I was watching a river of lava too! I was only seven feet away from it!".

After her mom heard this story, she knew that a part of it wasn't true. Which part wasn't true and why?

I have a nephew who is presently attending junior school.

During a lesson recently on English, his teacher wrote the following sentence on the blackboard and ask the class students to explain the meaning of the sentence.

"We are going to the bank to catch some fish".

I think they are studying grammer and the meaning of sentences.

Most of the students questioned said it meant a group of people going to the river bank to catch fish.

However, my nephew saw it differently. It seemed to him it meant a group of people going to the bank($) to catch some crooks and so gave this answer.

However, his teacher is not apparently impressed. She thought he was trying to be funny and cocky. So, he was punished to stand in the class.

Yet, is there anything wrong with the sentence? Can a teacher punished a student for this?
