In studies that have been done, having students wear uniforms has raised achievement scores and lowered discipline problems. Yet, they go right ahead, after each study, and let the kids continue to dress like Bangladesh refugees. Do you think uniforms are a good idea for public schools?

Hunted

Alison breathed out heavily as she dropped her army green rucksack onto the slightly damp wooden floor. Closing the hotel room door firmly behind her, she looked around. The hotel was not really a hotel, it was a three storey cabin type building. Everything was wooden and damp due to the weather outside. The room was small but not uncomfortable. There was a medium sized bed in the middle of the room, a rusty radiator and a tiny chest of drawers pushed up against one side of the bed. The one small window was so steamed up that you couldn’t see through it due to condensation. The wallpaper was plain white, making everything seem bigger than it was. pacing slowly over to the bed, Alison sat down. How long had it been? She wondered. How long did she have?

For a few moments she stayed there, lost in thought. Standing up and sighing, she ran her hands through her thin, wispy brown hair and strode over to the bathroom. How did I end up like this? She asked herself in the mirror. Staring back at her was a thin, tired face that she barely recognised. The sound of heavy rain drew her attention to the window, she walked leisurely over to it and wiped a circle in the condensation. Looking through the window, she noticed two things. The first was that only one lamppost was alit and the second was that there was a man, tall and hooded standing directly underneath it, staring straight back.

The person at the lamppost must be joined by others. The story needs to be a suspense crime fiction story with a maximum of 10,000 words. Can you please help me on the basic plot or storyline? I’m good at description, I’m just not very imaginative. Please help!!

I was just wondering about this, since I've heard countless times that the questions in the College Board's Official SAT Study Guide are a bit easier than the ones on the real test. I'm using this guide right now to study for my upcoming SAT exam, but I was also thinking about signing up for the online course for additional practice. I just want to make sure before I go about and waste $60.

This may be off topic but: Does anyone have any good tips to studying SAT Math? I've been practicing questions and reading guides, but I was wondering if there was something additional that I could do to boost my score.

Thanks for the help!

It's generally easy for me to fall asleep all days except the night before a big test. I get test anxiety and my mind can't rest. Any advice on how to get a better night's sleep?

I've tried every single tactic, every single suggestive way to attack them, but nothing is working on me! The Princeton Review's method won't help, and I've tried numerous things from skimming the passage to using the CHART method - it's just not doing anything! The only way that I CAN do well on these questions is to read the passages normally, but that's time consuming, especially on a 25-minute section (the passages are usually 100+ lines long!). I feel like I don't get enough information when I skim the passages for the main idea, and it sure doesn't help me answer the questions either. Please help - I'd really appreciate it! Tips? Suggestions?

I also have some kind of trouble with the questions too..since a majority of the selective answers on a multiple choice question could be true in this case, it's hard to find the right answer. I know you have to choose the answer that is found in the passage, but I don't know..I still find it hard to get to the correct answer. Help!

hello !

I need to find a slogan for a university. This slogan has to be dynamic, young ! If possible short words, please don't write something like shakespeare :)

All our studies are in several languages. That would be interesting if the slogan also says that.

Thank you for your help !
