I do not know, maybe the sign of the cross, or kneeling to pray, or using a prayer mat, or folding your hands to pray, or bowing your head? How about wearing specific clothes that identify you as part of a religion, like a habit? What about hair shirts as a way to demonstrate your commitment to God? How about Icons in churches, non verbal but shared images?
does this help, I am just guessing.

Non-verbal is exactly that. So look to the religious language of symbols.
The crucifix, Statues of saints, the lighting of candles, etc. Offerings of this nature are all non-verbal communications of religious beliefs and thus can be considered a language on their own.

You can also discuss the recent banning of said symbols.
