The speech can be either informative or persuasive. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. It is for a college speech class - the final is speaking in front of about 50 people. The age is mixed of college students, adults, maybe a few children. I'm not shy or embarassed to be up there - and speak very well, so I can speak about anything, I just need a good topic. Thanks.

I know that when describing things, the country of origin tends to come closest to the object being described. For example, we say "a big Japanese house", not "a Japanese big house."
What about when two words tend to be grouped together, like "instant rice?" Do we say "Japanese instant rice" or "instant Japanese rice?"

I am reading A Christmas Carol for a school assignment.

I am asked the question, "Scrooge asks, "if...these are shadows of the things that will be or are they shadows of things that may be..."

why is that a significant question.

I think it's because Scrooge has been shown that there is a chance he can alter his life and essentially prevent his death from occuring the way it is.

Is this correct? What do you think?
