Check out http://www.ClassTopic.com They have some great topics that I've used in the past. Each topic has three good sources to get you started on the research, too.

Can anyone find me a good topic for a speech?
That is how your question should read.

Who is your target audience? What are their interests, fears or concerns? What would you like to inform of? What are YOU most passionate about?

If you are not into your topic, no one else will be either. Start with a list of things you find interesting and then go from there.

make a mind map about your own interests, and then select possible topics!

i had to do one, i was lost about the topic, so i chose something like sport as a way of promoting peace.
i mentioned the opportunities that sport created for many children from poor countries or problematic backgrouns, a way of making them enjoy healthy activities and a distraction from society's problems. i focused my reserch on soccer (my passion and big interest since i was 8)

talk about sth that you like and know sth about

Why not try the "possiblities, challenges and side effects of media".

Another topic of relevance is: "Parenting a challenge and an opportunity".
