I graduated honors straight out of highschool I started college and left because I couldn't afford it. I have a full time job making 8 dollars an hr. I cant afford my own apartment, so I think I need to go to school, but I cant afford classes, because I am not 21 and the Fafsa says that my parents should be helping :(. The thing is I think I need a 2 yr program but I am not a math or science or computer person...is there a program out there for me?

well if you are 18 your parents income should have nothing to do with it. I have went around and around with FASFA over this. You are not required by law to include your parents income. If you were then every child that do not know their parents would be in a big mess.

Yes two year programs are good for working adults that is what I am doing. I am getting student loans that I don't have to pay back until I graduate or quit for 6 months. If you have a place to stay then a two year would be great. Most degrees will require a small amount of computers, math and science.

If you go into an Associate of Applied Science degree program then there will be less math and science and more of the field work. Like Culinary Arts. You can get a Certificate also although that won't take you to far. Something like Medical Coding.

Any thing you choose will help just if you decide to go then you really need to specialize in something because the number of graduates from college is increasing and the number of jobs are not.

Becuase of your income, I would try to apply for government grants and loans. You should definantly be accepted. Try researching online.
