I have a undergraduate degree in art, anywho she always looked up to me. After school we were both working temp jobs. I continued working temp jobs and she got a job in jewlery through a temp agency, which has ended up turning into her career. Anyways I continued working temp jobs and started taking night classes, I have been taking night classes for about a year and a half, and am currently applying to Graduate schools for Accounting. Anyway, I guess she's really upset that I'm not trying to stick it out until I get a dream job like her anymore. I've tried to explain to her that I want a more stable life, and will do whatever I can to get that. Anyway she hasn't been talking to me since we had this discussion, and it just makes me feel bad I'm the same person I'm just trying to make a better life for myself. I really do love her and care about her as a person, but I feel like she doesn't care about me anymore because I've changed. What should I do?

Am aware that this sounds like a really dumb question. Left school at 16 with basic GSE's etc and now feel the time has come to return to education. Have always thought I couldn't afford to study full time but have been looking at some courses and get the impression that 'full time' isn't what I think of as full time;suspect this is because I've always worked a 60hr + week.
Would be really grateful if somebody could clarify this for me. Thanks.

Urbandictionary has English slang terms from all over the world so I can't tell which are supposed to be British.
Does any website concentrate mainly on British English?

Just wondering if I should be teaching my children to do so because despite the FACT that homeschoolers are proven to test at or above peer level and despite the fact that they socialize just fine and despite the fact that homeschoolers whether taught w/or by a non-college educated parent and test just as high...the public school advocates continually say throughout their posts here at YA opinions based not on facts but on broad generalizations.

Is that part of the public school experience? Should I make sure to teach my children to ignore the facts and give their opinions as if they are the truth?

Just curious.

P.S I'm not bitter and of course I would never teach my children such ignorance. ;-)
