I was in San Francisco over the weekend at the Savoy Tivoli and there was a really decent jazz band playing. If anyone happens to know what the name of the band is or style of jazz this is... it was sort a slow, and a bit sexy (almost stripper-ish sounding)... like waaaaa waa wa waaaa waaaaa. i dont know if it was new orleans style, dixieland style, chicago style or what! Any help and links to sites or samples would be much appreciated, thanks!

I only see my boyfriend MAYBE twice a year (hes off at college). He's coming home this weekend and he wants a fancy restaurant (but since he's a guy, that can mean a relatively clean Dennys). Since he assigned me the job of choosing, I need a good restraunt for our "romantic" dinner. Price range no more than $25 a plate. And please, I dont want 20 people telling me the Cheesecake Factory. I have nothing against CF but I dont want to keep checking my answers just to get the same f-ing suggestion.

Looking for advise on the best place to eat in either Fort Bragg or Mendocino. It's a special occasion so money is no object. I know about The Cliff House, so don't mention that one. It's OK but not great. Thanks In Advance.

I'm looking for bars or other buildings that were used as Speakeasies or illegal bars during prohibition. I know that there were a lot around Chinatown, and I know that there are more than just one, so if you have one that you know of, please respond. Also, if you know anything about the building or if you can see inside it, let me know.

The building is still there (it's a red painted Victorian house). I think the name of the restaurant was a French woman's name (possibly starting with "C"), but I can't remember what it was...
