I can't find any doughnut shops in the Monterey/Salinas area the closest one is a Krispy Kreme but it's located in Mountain view which is over 80 miles from where I live. Does anyone know of any close to Monterey or Salinas? thx

You're kidding, right? I lived in that area for two years, and there was one on just about every street corner. I lived in northern Salinas, and there was one next to the Food 4 Less. There was a chain of donut shops called Winchell's that had at least four locations, but the exact addresses escape me. They are really good, too. Go to www.yellowpages.com, and look 'em up. Oh, and the holes in the wall are the BEST ones! If the owner speaks no English, dig in... The Mexicans in the area really know how to make a good pastry-- not too sweet, and good use of cinnamon and nutmeg!!!

this is approximately 30 miles or so. no longer that far-off. a chum and that i went down one time and stayed in Salina's at a greater fee-effective lodge and then here day drove over to Monterey. the desirable thank you to make sure is to locate a holiday spot in Salina's, say a lodge and then a holiday spot in Monterey like Cannery Row or the Wharf and then get the addresses of the two and type them into mapquest. that provide you a greater desirable thought! have relaxing. Monterey is mind-blowing!
