Chinese food
Henry’s Hunan at 674 Sacramento, on Battery at Broadway or between 2nd and New Montgomery and Harrison and Folsom south of Market near the MOMA. - Great Chinese don’t miss Diana’s Meat Pie
Tai Chi on Polk at Broadway – The best shrimp won ton soup and General Tso’s chicken in the city.
Expensive but scrumptious dim sum at Yank Sing 101 Spear.
Cheap but good dim sum at Louie’s on Stockton at Broadway

Mexican
The Latin heart of the city is in the mission. Taquarias are a great bet for a cheap and very filling lunch. My personal favorites are El Toro on Valencia at 17th or their sister restaurant Pancho Villa on 16th between Valencia and Mission. Split a burrito if you don’t want food coma and enjoy the house made aqua frescas! Other city Latin favorite include
Cancun Mission at 19th - another excellent taquaria
La Rondillia 901 Valencia at 20th - a bit more service with a hoping bar.
Cha Cha Cha 2327 Mission at 21st - is really more Spanish/jamacian/latin tapas with home sangria to compliment any meal. Lively crowd. They also have 1801 Haight near Golden Gate park
Don Ramon’s on 11th at Folsom In my opinion the best traditional Mexican food in the city. They also make top shelf Margaritas.

Italian Food
Original Joe’s 140 Taylor – Old fashioned stick to your ribs Italian food. Huge portions! Are good before or after theatre experience. Watch out, the garlic bread is radioactive. Yummy, but you’ll exude garlic for a half life.
Scala’s Bistro – In the Sir Francis Drake Hotel on Powell at Sutter – Creative upscale Italian food served in a bustling, warm environment.
Café Macaroni – Columbus at Jackson – Italian food, opt for smaller space on east side of Columbus

The house of nan king is the best asian food, also I think the stinking rose is very interesting, everything has garlic in it. Even the Ice cream

if you're into asian food, Bong Su is EXCELLENT! Try the "On the Town" Menu. It's pretty decent price and everyone is so professional there.
