I love the look of Gordon Ramsay's food and would happily pay up to eat there. Do you just turn up or do you have to book? Any advice welcome. Thanks! (PS I am talking about the restaurant in London, England, not the American version.)

I would send it back but I would not want it replaced. The cook might spit on my new meal.

Can Someone please recommend a good restaurant either in Troy or Albany NY, even Saratoga.

We're looking for good tasting food. Something different from our everyday, which would be burgers, chinese, spanish, mexican and recommendations would be helpful ....

Thanks in advance

I was at a restaurant the other day, and noticed on the menu that soft drink refills were 50 cents. I don't know if the restaurant actually does that, because neither I nor my mom had a drink. And even if we had, neither of us drinks enough with a meal that we'd need a refill anyway. *chuckle*

My question, though, is I thought most restaurants quit charging for refills? But maybe I'm wrong. All I know is that whenever I go to a chain/franchise type place, like Denny's, Bakers Square, Chili's, Olive Garden, Applebee's, etc., they NEVER charge for soft drink refills.

The restaurant I was at was a "mom and pop" place, so maybe things are different in establishments like that. I dunno. It just seems kind of cheap, in my mind, to charge a diner extra to refill their glass with something that's such an immensely high-profit margin item anyway. (Years ago I used to work in food service, so I know! *grin*)

Just wondering....

If you haven't seen it, there is a show on the food network called "$40 A Day". Basically Rachael Ray travels the country and tells people how to find great little places to eat. I like the show, but as a server, I am APPALLED when Rachael Ray reveals how much "tax and tip" is. The show does not encourage 20% tips, and frequently less that $2 is left for tax and tip. As servers, we need to get together and let the Food Network know that they are setting a bad example for the community that watches their show. I found a comment section on the $40 A Day website. Here is the link. Please send them a little note to let them know if you are upset by this. Thanks! Hopefully we can get them to make a change and leave a decent tip!!

My friends and I are going there tonight, but they havn't listed their drinks on their website. Does that mean they only have non-alcoholic drinks??? If so, then my friends and I will have to go elsewhere for some drinks! Haha!

This kinda makes me sound like an alcoholic, but I'm not....really! LOL!
