Every time I am ordering,the waitress always says we don't have Pepsi,we have Coke,and vice versa.

I'm from Louisiana, and if it's a privately owned restaurant.....then that is a possibility. I've seen it more than once.

It is true, serving both is conflict of interest, and the restaurant is probably tied to some sort of contract. Usually what I've found is that Pepsi dominates the restaurant market as opposed to Coke is more concentrated on grocery stores etc.

Generally, restaurants sign a contract with a distributor to only sell their product. So, whatever company's distributor gives the restaurant the best deal, that's whose soda they serve.

To serve both would be a conflict of interest, so most places can only serve one or the other. I have never found a place that served both.

nope...because a restuarant has a contract with the vendor or either coke/ pepsi.
Obviously,,,they cant sell pepsi products if they have a contract with the coke man!!
