Is there a specific time the Scottish drink their Whisky or is it a "whole day drink"? Is it only for special events? And, do the Higlanders drink more often Whisky than the Lowlanders?

I am going with my girl friends to cheesecake factory tonight for dinner, we all want to dress semi-formally, but we are not sure if that's the appropriate way to dress for cheesecake factory. We don't want to look stupid for dressing up too much, what should i do?

I am in a debate with a co-worker that claims that she has never seen a Happy Hour with a discount on non-alcoholic beverages and that proves that non-alcoholic drinks are never included in Happy Hour. I thought about it and I have never seen it either, but I need further proof before I give in to her logic. Anywhere in the world; have you seen a discount on non-alcoholic drinks at a Happy Hour?

If you are at a nice restaurant- most menus have an "mandatory tip of x% (usually 20%) for parties of 6 or more" on the bottom of the menu.

Does this mean the group is LEGALLY obligated to pay the tip? Meaning is there some "contract" that you enter into by ordering, thereby agreeing to their policy? In other words, if I don't pay the tip, can I be arrested?

I am an ex-smoker (having quit some 13 years ago)...hoorah for me...however, this does not mean I force my non-smokingness (funny word huh?) upon other people.

My dream is one day to open a restauarant/bar/pub of my own. Since smoking is no longer allowed in public places, I would like to start a SMOKING only place. I feel that since we have to honor the rights of non-smokers, I should be allowed to honor the rights of smokers also. Lets give smokers a place where they can sit and relax with a cigarette without being hassled, talked down to or fear of retribution. Lets let them keep their dignity and their rights. I would only hire people that did not care if patrons smoke or not and I would install a good ventilation system.

Of course this does NOT mean that non-smokers could not enter the premises, but they do so at their own health risk.

What do you think, smokers unite?

I am exaggerating of course, but I often find my plate so piled high with food that I lose my appetite. Yes, I know that I can take it home in a doggie bag,but sometimes I just want to eat there and not bother with the leftovers. It's no wonder that America is faced with an obesity problem. Am I the only one who feels this way.

I really, really like Perkin's ranch sauce and honey mustard sauce. Does anyone (maybe someone who has worked there) know what brand it is, so I can buy it myself?
