you remember how much money the xbox 360s went for on ebay there first week, beacsue they were scarce... well for those of you who dont know, they had cost 400 bucks, but got sold for over 2000 first week on ebay..

you think the same will happen with ps3? like im thinking of preordering a copy now or waiting in line all night at circuit city to get one for 500-600 or whatever it costs, then immeditatly selling it on ebay, hoping to make 2000-3000 in profit

good idea? or great idea?

For my whole life I have been using a VCR and my own DVR device with a hard drive, to record shows while watching others. This is using plain old cable. Now I switched to Dish Network and they say I can only use my own devices to tape shows I am already watching! They say I need to buy a DVR from them and pay $13 a month to be able to do something so simple! Is there a way around this, a way to use my own VCR or DVR to record one channel while watching another? Why haven't I heard other people screaming about this? Thanks.

Bought 4 dvd's off Ebay, used (released less than 2 yrs ago), original, not copies or bootlegs, appear to be in pretty good shape, but they won't operate reliably. Two of them have a few light scratches and I have rubbed all with a soft cloth. Sometimes I lock up on the menu, other times I can get off the menu, but the episode (it's a tv series dvd set) will lock up, freeze or skip. I don't have this problem with other dvds in my collection. I am wondering if there is some new technology on DVD's that isn't communicating with my dvd player (about 4 years old). Also, this is my first purchase of tv dvd's-everything else I have is movies, if that matters.

Apparently while I was in Prescott this past tuesday and wednesday an electrical storm ripped its way across Phoenix. The red light on my surge protector strip tells me I was (somewhat, judging by the fact my electronics are acting ...glitchy) protected by a surge. The strip still supplies power, but has its ability to suppress another surge been redered ineffective?

I had dish network about 3 years ago and I wanted to renew about 2 months after my contract ended, but they told me that I couldn't renew with them because all of their offers were to new customers. So I was wondering if I could renew with Directv after my contract is over
