this was activated in USA. i am in india. the internet socket is not suitable for the pin given by my ip . so as i cant connect it directly i took a connection from my existing modem and inserted linksys modem in the circuit then regular phone is connected to this as the end appliance. think i am cler ,some body therehelp me plese .

i have an ADSL [bsnl broad band] connection. the socket on the voip is RJ 45[8pins]. the wire spplied by IP is a 4 pin type as regularly given for a phone connetion in india.the inter net input socket on the voip is just suitable for the lan cord given by my IP

I would call Linsky's to see if they can sell you the adapter needed.

your question is not clear.i need to know
1-what is the type of Internet connection you have in India e.g :ADSL or dial-up etc.
2-the input socket in your VOIP device for Internet RJ-45(8pins)
or RJ-11 (4pins)
