I have a Razr V3m in siver from Verizon right. Now somehow i am guessing rain got into the phone. and my keypad won't work. It sometimes work but the sticker on the back has turned red. I have blow dried it and everything. So now i am thinking of switcing to my other phone that my dad used before it is a wole lot better than the Razr, but it is still from Verizon. So can anyone tell me how I could switch to tha phone myself without going to a store or something. Or how else I can fix my Razr, and the rice method and silicon didn't really help. So plaese let me know

I'm going to upgrade my old phone, by buying a new UNLOCKED phone for myself for Christmas. My 2 year contract with AT&T (formerly Cingular) runs out in March. Can I continue service with them after March at the same price, even if I don't renew the contract? Will I have to threaten them with switching to T Mobile? How will this work?

I have the Motorola 'Project Red' KRZR K1 phone and want to turn off the annoying '1 new message' notification that pops up when I receive a text message.
I would rather be notified by the small 'envelope' icon that appears in the upper hand corner rather than seeing the pop up as soon as I open the phone.
I did go into Messages/Setup/Text Message Setup/ and turned the notification off there, but for some reason the pop up keeps showing up???
Did the same with my 'new voicemail' notification and that is no longer showing, so I don't know what else, if anything could be done for the text notice.

Can anyone assist? Greatly appreciated.

ok so i have cingular but i want a sidekick from t-mobile. if i get a sidekick and put my sim card from cingular in it, will my bill go to cingular? also if i only want the sidekick will it let me do it or will i have to pay for a plan?

I have iTap. I also hate that when i type "if" the word "he" shows up.

Also when i type...

When I type "me" ----- "of" shows up

When I type "john" ----- "join/logo" shows up

When I type "or" ------- "mr" or "ms" shows up

When I type "Any" ------ Box, Boy, and cow shows up

When I type "cool" ------- book shows up

When I type "good" ---- home shows up

When I type "haha" ---- gaia shows up

When I type "love" ---- loud shows up

You get the point....

Is there anyway I can fix this?

I have a Motorola Razr that I bought from my mom so I think it's about two years old or so. The battery is only going one day before it dies and that is with an average of 2-3 calls per day (usually only 5-10min) and 5-10 text messages a day. Not very high usage in my opinion. I have heard that if you don't have good service the battery dies quicker, and in my house I only have 0-1 bar most of the day. This just started happening the last two weeks thought, it used to go 3-4 days and when I'm at my moms (full bars) it lasts even longer than that. Is the battery dieing or is it the service? I'd call Verizon, but they tell you that batteries are only supposed to last like six months or something ridiculous like that (they told me that w/ my husband's phone.)

First, I do not have an iPhone.

And I will not want one as long as Apple continues to treat iPhone unlockers like criminals!

What's wrong with unlocking a phone? In many countries, it's actually standard practice to buy an unlocked phone and get only a SIM card from your network operator. Greater flexibility! It's a free market.

Phone companies are understandably not happy about phones being unlocked, especially when they give them out for free like they do in the UK and US! It's understandable why they charge you for unlocking services.

But Apple is taking nastiness to a HIGHER level...

1. Forbidding, OUTRIGHT, iPhone users from using "unauthorised" networks. Even for a fee.
2. Sending out updates that DISABLE software in unlocked phones... if this doesn't spell E-V-I-L, I don't know what does.

People BOUGHT their iPhones - for £270!! What right does Apple have to say what they can and can't do with it?? "Unauthorised networks"? Who do they THINK they are??
