I have the Motorola 'Project Red' KRZR K1 phone and want to turn off the annoying '1 new message' notification that pops up when I receive a text message.
I would rather be notified by the small 'envelope' icon that appears in the upper hand corner rather than seeing the pop up as soon as I open the phone.
I did go into Messages/Setup/Text Message Setup/ and turned the notification off there, but for some reason the pop up keeps showing up???
Did the same with my 'new voicemail' notification and that is no longer showing, so I don't know what else, if anything could be done for the text notice.
Can anyone assist? Greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately that's just the way it is. You can make it silent, but it will always show up

I even have the KRZR and individually, i'm no longer satisfied. The battery existence is pathetic. yet nonetheless, maximum Verizon telephones look. My G/F additionally has on that Verizon as much as date on the save and it preforms extra advantageous as far because of fact the different issues that situation me. however the battery remains a situation.
