I am not looking to go to a new carrier. I just bought a Samsung Juke off of eBay and I just want to make that my phone. How do I do so?

You will have to go to your cell phone provider and pay to have it done.

You carrier can do it but you can do it yourself sometimes if your carrier has a place online you "login" to. I'm with telus, they have mytelusmobility.com for people to login and view account statements, airtime, etc.

If you have your carrier do the swith for you it might cost you, but doing it yourself will cost you too, only not as much.

If the carrier has a websit go to it, they might have a place where you can "register" a username, for this you will need your statement for the account number. After you complete registration you should login and browse your options, usually you'll find "upgrade handset."

Follow the instructions, make sure you kept the box the phone came in, they all have serial numbers for which you need to switch your phone properly.

Easiest way is to get the carrier to do it though ;-)

call up ur cell phone carrier and tell them you'd like a new phone number. tell them you are not switching contracts. next call up Samsung and ask them how to get a new number on a recently bought phone from an auction site. You can call their customer care lines and they should both be able to help you. good luck!

The phone number is programmed into the SIM card. If the new phone is unlocked (SIM-free), just drop the old SIM into the new phone.
